We have focused programs for both Adults and Children...you're never too old or too young to join!
Our Adult programs are the real deal…learning
proven methods of self defense, getting in the best shape of your life
and feeling the energy…tons of energy!
Many people live a hum drum life of repeating the same things over and
over again (like in the movie “Groundhog's Day”). They feel out of
control. They are stuck in the conditioning of their fears, doubts and
worries. A typical day is spent going to work, dealing with the constant
hassles of putting out fires for eight to nine hours per day (or more),
then…RETREAT!.. to the house to sit in front of the television in a mind
numbing funk and forget about the daily grind. On and on it goes with
seemingly no relief in sight. After awhile you just begin to accept
that, “Well, that’s just the way it is, there’s nothing I can do about
it.” Feeling helpless you continue doing what you’re doing.
As
author Stephen Covey writes in his book “The Seven Habits of Highly
Effective People” we must “Sharpen the saw” meaning that if we do not
take the time to work on ourselves for the sake of ourselves we cannot
maintain our potential much less achieve anything more. Simply put: A
dull blade doesn’t cut very well.
Accepting the challenge of learning a martial art is a rejuvenating
experience.
The feeling of being energized through the conditioning
(both physical and mental) of TaeKwonDo training is like nothing
you’ve ever experienced. You’ll accomplish things you thought
you couldn’t, overcome challenges you never would have attempted and
gain a strengthened sense of yourself that you didn’t realize existed!
No!...it doesn’t happen overnight…but it happens!
In small ways, week after week, month after month. One small victory
after another….IF…
You’re serious…
One
day…you notice…the difference.
It’s time to
start!
Our children’s program focuses on helping kids realize the kinds of
things they can achieve if they just follow two guiding principles:
-
Always do your best
-
Never, give up
You
see…the things that hold so many kids back are; the expectation of
casual and easy success (like the next level of a video game) and
difficulty in staying focused on larger more meaningful accomplishments.
Between the parents who are dedicated to their child’s’ long term
success and our instructors who focus on teaching and reinforcing these
concepts our kids grow into the kind of individuals they were meant
to be.
Our instructors get to know each child
through the course of their training and pay attention to the unique
abilities and challenges that each child has. As we teach our lessons
we interact with the kids in ways to help them maximize their
strengths and overcome their challenges. Some kids are
naturals…others need more help…both types are recognized and worked with
in ways that help them grow.
This process, over time, helps the student to gradually understand that
few things are beyond their grasp.
Class activities are high energy and tons of fun so that kids stay
engaged, motivated and geared up to achieve their best.
When answering the question, “What do you expect your child to gain from
the study of TaeKwonDo?” many parents tell us that they want their
children to learn the values taught at James Rich’s TaeKwonDo LLC:
Respect, Responsibility and Self-Discipline. If you are searching
for ways to counteract the negative messages bombarding your children
from movies, television and other forms of pop culture,
your search ends here!
Now…it’s time
to contact us so that we may begin our work of building up your child.
